Kathamrita (Story Telling)

Let’s meditate on Lord’s appearance day by narrating His wonderful pastimes

Date: Sunday, Aug 25th
Time: 10am – 2pm
Venue: ISKCON Sarjapur Road Center, Sarjapur Road

Date: Monday, Aug 26th
Time: 9am – 2pm
Venue: Haryana Bhavan, Haralur Road

Contest Details & Instructions

Group 1 (upto 6 yrs)
Narrate any one of the  pastimes of  Lord Krishna. Props can be used.
Time – 3 min per participant

Group 2 (7-12 yrs)
Narrate any pastime from Ramayana/ Mahabharata. Explain the lesson learnt. Props can be used.
Time – 3 min per participant

Group 3 (13-18 yrs)
Narrate any pastime of Srila Prabhupada. Explain the lesson learnt. Props can be used and mimicry/acting can be done.
Time – 3 min per participant

Evaluation criteria – Authenticity, message and storytelling skills

Dressed to be Blessed (Fancy Dress Competition)

Dress and speak about your favourite character from Lord Krishna’s Vrindavan leela

Time – 1 min per participant

Group 2 (7-12 yrs)

Dress and  act out your favourite character from Vedic pastimes/stories and talk about your character.
Time – 1 min per participant

Group 3 (13-15 yrs)

Dress and hone your acting skills by depicting, inspiring and breath-taking events from Krishna Lila, Ram Leela, Chaitanya Leela.
Time – 2 mins per participant

Evaluation criteria – Authenticity, dress appearance, adherence to time limit

Kirtanam (Singing bhajans)

Sing and express your devotion with a melodious bhajan! Let’s show our love to Krishna by singing bhajans about Him!

You can sing any one of the following bhajans. Song can be accompanied by a musical instrument

Time – 3 min per participant
**You need not repeat the lines as that would take more time

Evaluation criteria – Completeness, raga & bhaava

Kalanjali (Drawing, Colouring or Painting)

Bring out the artist in you!!! Drawing, coloring and painting competition for kids.

Contest Details & Instructions

Group 1 (upto 6 yrs) and Group 2 (7-12 yrs)
Kids will be given colouring sheets. 30 min will be given to all the kids .They will have to get their colour pencils, sketch pens, paints etc., as needed

Group 3 (13-18 yrs) and Group 4 (above 18 yrs)
Draw or sketch Lord's picture, Acharya’s picture and colour the same. Picture should be authentic and adhering to vedic version. 60 min will be given to the participants.
